Sonic The Playa

He certainly seems like one. Women literally run after him, and he's had quite a few serious relationships throughout the comics (or so I heard). Is this a good thing, or no? Should more women be shown swooning over our speedy friend in the games and other media, or no? Any preferences as to where things should go?

That title confused me!

Well, time to dump out the opinion:
He is simply popular. If he was a player, he'd be out on dates left to right. I keep making ties, but my fan character is popular in school, so the girls flirt with him, especially the popular girl. However, he likes only one, and while she still does a bit of flirting, he may be tailed at all times by popular girls but still has only one that he loves. I think that it is the same kind of scenario with Sonic, except that one girl being Amy.
